I was putting Faith (age2) to bed and she said Daddy going to sleep...Zachy going to sleep, Zoe going to sleep.... and I said
"Yes and God never sleeps. He is always taking care of you."
Then she said "God doesn't sleep..." and somehow she interpreted that "taking care of you" means "carrying you"
So she continued, looking up at me and said "God carrying Daddy...God carrying Zoe...God carrying Zachy..."
Earlier this evening, I had been reminded of the verse "He tends His flock like a Shepherd, He gathers the lambs in His arms and carries them close to His heart, He gently leads those that have young.
And it was precious that my littlest one was reminding me that God really is carrying each one of us.

Today, as I was putting 25 month old Faith to bed, I read her a Bible story. There was a picture of Jesus and she noticed the holes in His hands. She said " Mommy what this?" I said Jesus had owies in His hands.
"Oh Jesus owies?"
She looked up at me with a look of concern and sadness. She doesn't like it when people get hurt and she just kept pointing at Jesus' hands and saying "owies???"
I explained to her that Jesus had those owies because He suffered and died for us. For our sins, He was broken.
Faith looked up at me and said "Mommy pray."
And I prayed, holding back the tears, saying "Thank you Jesus for having those owies so that we could be forgiven of our sins. " I said " Faith, now you pray."
In her two year old way, she prayed "Dear Lord, Jesus owies. In Jesus name, Amen"
Yes Jesus, we thank You.
